Etienne BOUTIN

I have lived more than 20 years in French Polynesia and serviced many large yachts.  I know what demanding people can expect to find around our islands, but I always want to do better. This is why I am constantly testing new entertainment, activities and attractions for you and your guests.

French Polynesia is rich with incredible sceneries, tranquil people and a modern way of life. It is my job, but above all my pleasure, to make sure you discover our country at its best and depart with unforgettable images.

Itineraries

Tahiti and the Leeward islands

Tahiti and the leeward islands are the usual cruising destinations for large yachts in French Polynesia. There are many amenities and also a good support infrastructure allowing very diverse shore entertainment. A great deal of our special guests' wishes can be fulfilled in or around these magic islands. Imagine a private dance show with beautiful Tahitian girls on a beach in Bora Bora, an exclusive lunch in fifty centimeters of clear water in Huahine or a stunning firework in the dark green valleys of Moorea...

Many itineraries can be proposed in these stunning islands but here are two standard schedules, 7 and 10 days:

Marquesas islands

The Marquesas islands are high rugged islands with gorgeous sceneries and very little inhabitants, which give them a special flavor. Diving there is great for experienced divers but water can be muddy. Hammer head sharks all year round and other big species. Rough seas, no quiet lagoons.
On land, you find 4x4 wheel drive cars or horses to take you into the mist of the mountains. Walk through the bush to the second highest waterfall in the Pacific, or famous bay of Virgins in Fatu Hiva, said to be one of the nicest in the world...
Many yacht owners have loved these islands. Some have loved the people and the diving. Some the scenery. If guests are not afraid of swelly anchorages, the Marquesas are really unique in this part of the world. A typical itinerary could be:

Tuamotu islands

The Tuamotu islands are all flat atolls where the must is obviously diving. The passes are incredibly rich in everything and you don't even need to dive with bottles to see it all. A swim with the current (entering !) in the middle of the pass is always very well appreciated.  I suggest spending a good time in Rangiroa, because it has many modern amenities and a nice hotel for rest, and also visit more remote atolls like Fakarava or Toau, which are very quiet and offer beautiful anchorages inside the lagoon. I personally love the feel of being inside a quiet lagoon with a view to rough seas outside the reef.

Our dive Guides know this area wery well and can propose other places to visit than what I suggest below :
